Bird Watching

If you like Bird Watching then this site is a great resource for you

BirdLife Western Australia has developed an outstanding series of bird guide brochures for many country shires and Perth metropolitan councils. These describe places to go birding, and checklists for the area.

BirdLife Western Australia has produced an extensive range of brochures of places to go birding in Western Australia and the local bird list. You can pick up a copy from the office or download most of them from this site .

BirdLife Western Australia maintains an external website outlining recent unusual or interesting sightings from across WA and the external territories of Christmas and Cocos Islands and Ashmore Reef.

We encourage you to submit any interesting records from these areas to the WA Sightings officer [email protected]. The website also provides a useful guide for any recent sightings of interest to other birders, with records posted on the site as soon as possible. People are also welcome to submit bird photos from WA for identification.
